Breakfast was by the pool again, and another delicious spread was prepared by our hosts Emmanuel and Esther. Then it was off to catch the bus to Victoria and then on to Marsalforn. This is another old fishing village, but bigger than Xlendi, and it seemed to us to have an older demographic who seemed to be looking after their grandchildren!!
We walked around the waterfront which again was lined with shops, cafés and restaurants looking over the water. There were ladders along the shoreline leading into the water, and marker buoys in the water separating the swimmers from boats - a very good idea. Again the water was a magnificent mix of colours and very clear - you could see the different rock and sea grass features so I was keen to go swimming and snorkeling.
At the spot where I wanted to swim there was a restaurant that had a shade area and sun lounges for rent, so Noelle set herself up there while I went snorkeling. It was fantastic with lots of different fish of various sizes and colours swimming around - the rocks, sea grass and caverns made it very interesting observing what was under the surface. We enjoyed a delicious seafood lunch at Otters Restaurant while looking out over the waterfront - very idyllic. After lunch Noelle returned to her sun lounge and I went for another swim. We both really enjoyed Marsalforn.
