Another relaxing day at sea. We started the days activities by attending the talk on our next port, Da Nang. Based on the distance the ship was going to dock in relation to the city centre, about a 30 minute trip, we decided to get the ship's transfer direct to Hoi An, a UNESCO World Heritage site.
We spoilt our good record of keeping away from the pastries by enjoying some at morning tea. However we made up for it with a healthy Asian soup full of veggies and noodles for lunch, and then attended a cooking class on the "Art of Ginger", learning how to cook with ginger as well as its health benefits. After that we spent some time studying the future cruise booklet as there are some good offers on board, but it means getting our heads around our travels for next year and we're only 8 days into this year's travels!
We came up with a number of ideas and then visited Debra, the future cruise consultant, who was very patient with all of our questions and discussions. The result was a booking for next year which will take us to many new ports and some new countries in Northern Europe and around the UK.
It was then time for a quiet read in the sun, and then time to get ready for dinner. Tonight's show was by another Aussie called Bernard Walz who was a fantastic pianist, and again did Australia proud. We decided to have an early night in preparation for an early start to tomorrow's adventure in Hoi An.
